And the Spiritאֱלֹהִיםof Godמְרַחֶפֶתwas hoveringעַלoverפְּנֵיthe faceהַמָּֽיִםof the waters OHB 1:3ESVוַיֹּאמֶרsaidאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godיְהִי, Let there beאוֹרlightוַֽיְהִי[to be]אֽוֹר, and there was light OHB 1:4ESVוַיַּרְאsawאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godאֶת[the]הָאוֹרthat the lightכִּיthat the lightטוֹבwas goodוַיַּבְדֵּלseparatedאֱלֹהִים. And there was eveningוַֽיְהִי[to be]בֹקֶרand there was morningיוֹםdayאֶחָֽד, the firstפ OHB 1:6ESVוַיֹּאמֶרsaidאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godיְהִי[to be]רָקִיעַ, Let there be an expanseבְּתוֹךְin the midstהַמָּיִםof the watersוִיהִי[to be]מַבְדִּיל, and let it separateבֵּין[between]מַיִםthe watersלָמָֽיִםfrom the waters OHB 1:7ESVוַיַּעַשׂmadeאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godאֶת[the]הָרָקִיעַthe expanseוַיַּבְדֵּלand separatedבֵּין[between]הַמַּיִםthe watersאֲשֶׁרthatמִתַּחַתwere underלָרָקִיעַthe expanseוּבֵין[between]הַמַּיִםfrom the watersאֲשֶׁרthatמֵעַלwere aboveלָרָקִיעַthe expanseוַֽיְהִי[to be]כֵֽן. And it was so OHB 1:8ESVוַיִּקְרָאcalledאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godלָֽרָקִיעַthe expanseשָׁמָיִםHeavenוַֽיְהִי[to be]עֶרֶב. And there was eveningוַֽיְהִי[to be]בֹקֶרand there was morningיוֹםdayשֵׁנִֽי, the secondפ OHB 1:9ESVוַיֹּאמֶרsaidאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godיִקָּווּbe gathered togetherהַמַּיִם, Let the watersמִתַּחַת[underneath]הַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensאֶלintoמָקוֹםplaceאֶחָדoneוְתֵרָאֶהappearהַיַּבָּשָׁה, and let the dry landוַֽיְהִי[to be]כֵֽן. And it was so OHB 1:10ESVוַיִּקְרָאcalledאֱלֹהִיםGodלַיַּבָּשָׁהthe dry landאֶרֶץEarthוּלְמִקְוֵהthat were gathered togetherהַמַּיִם, and the watersקָרָאhe calledיַמִּיםSeasוַיַּרְאsawאֱלֹהִים. And it was so OHB 1:12ESVוַתּוֹצֵאbrought forthהָאָרֶץThe earthדֶּשֶׁאvegetationעֵשֶׂב, plantsמַזְרִיעַyieldingזֶרַעseedלְמִינֵהוּaccording to their own kindsוְעֵץ, and treesעֹֽשֶׂהbearingפְּרִיfruitאֲשֶׁרin whichזַרְעוֹis their seedבוֹ לְמִינֵהוּ, each according to its kindוַיַּרְאsawאֱלֹהִים.
