Psalms 23

The  Lord Is My Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

1  The  Lord is my a shepherd; I shall not b want.
 2 He makes me lie down in green c pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. ▼

 3 He e restores my soul.
He f leads me in g paths of righteousness ▼
▼ Or  in right paths

for his i name’s sake.
 4  Even though I j walk through the valley of k the shadow of death, ▼
▼ Or  the valley of deep darkness

I will m fear no evil,
for n you are with me;
your o rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
 5  You p prepare a table before me
in q the presence of my enemies;
you r anoint my head with oil;
my s cup overflows.
 6 Surely ▼
▼ Or Only
 goodness and mercy ▼
▼ Or steadfast love
 shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall v dwell ▼
▼ Or  shall return to dwell
 in the house of the  Lord
x forever. ▼
