Song of Solomon 4

Solomon Admires His Bride’s Beauty

He

Behold, a you are beautiful, my love,
behold, you are beautiful!
b Your eyes are doves
c behind your veil.
d Your hair is like a flock of goats
leaping down e the slopes of Gilead.
Your f teeth are like a flock of shorn ewes
that have come up from the washing,
all of which bear twins,
and not one among them has lost its young.
Your lips are like g a scarlet thread,
and your mouth is h lovely.
Your i cheeks are like halves of a pomegranate
j behind your veil.
Your k neck is like the tower of David,
built in l rows of stone;
The meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain

on it n hang a thousand shields,
all of o them shields of warriors.
Your p two breasts are like two q fawns,
twins of a gazelle,
that r graze among the lilies.
s Until the day breathes
and the shadows flee,
I will go away to the mountain of t myrrh
and the hill of u frankincense.
v You are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no w flaw in you.
x Come with me from y Lebanon, my z bride;
come with me from aa Lebanon.
Depart
Or Look
from the peak of Amana,
from the peak of ac Senir and ad Hermon,
from the dens of lions,
from the mountains of leopards.
You have captivated my heart, my ae sister, my bride;
you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes,
with one af jewel of your necklace.
10 How beautiful is your love, my ag sister, my bride!
How much ah better is your love than wine,
and ai the fragrance of your oils than any spice!
11 Your aj lips drip nectar, my bride;
ak honey and milk are under your tongue;
the fragrance of your garments is al like the fragrance of am Lebanon.
12 A garden locked is my an sister, my bride,
a spring locked ao a fountain ap sealed.
13 Your shoots are aq an orchard of pomegranates
with all ar choicest fruits,
as henna with at nard,
14 nard and saffron au calamus and av cinnamon,
with all trees of aw frankincense,
ax myrrh and ay aloes,
with all az choice spices
15 a garden fountain, a well of ba living water,
and flowing streams from bb Lebanon.
16  Awake, O north wind,
and come, O south wind!
Blow upon my bc garden,
let its spices flow.

Together in the Garden of Love

She

bd Let my beloved come to his be garden,
and eat its bf choicest fruits.
