Or brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. 4 Therefore c we ourselves boast about you d in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith e in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.
