Psalms 148:1-12

Praise the Name of the  Lord

1  a Praise the  Lord!
Praise the  Lord b from the heavens;
praise him c in the heights!
 2 Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his d hosts!
 3  Praise him, sun and moon,
praise him, all you shining stars!
 4 Praise him, you e highest heavens,
and you f waters above the heavens!
 5  g Let them praise the name of the  Lord!
For h he commanded and they were created.
 6 And he i established them forever and ever;
he gave j a decree, and it shall not k pass away. ▼

 7  Praise the  Lord m from the earth,
you n great sea creatures and all deeps,
 8  o fire and hail p snow and mist,
q stormy wind r fulfilling his word!
 9  s Mountains and all hills,
t fruit trees and all u cedars!
 10  v Beasts and all livestock,
creeping things and w flying birds!
 11  Kings of the earth and x all peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth!
 12 Young men and maidens together,
old men and children!
